The newest “hype” in $BTC concerns BIP300.

A full run-down of BIP300 in technical terms can be found here: BIP300

But what is exactly BIP300?

According to its source is the intention to “more fast deploy sidechains” which is achieved by side-stepping network consensus in favor of “benevolent dictators”.

You read that right.
This proposed update, and all those who talk in favor of it, want to sidestep the democratic voting system that has been present in the beginning so they can deploy “sidechains”.

Sidechains (sometimes called drivechains), in this context, are nothing more than Crypto-projects being deployed on the #Bitcoin blockchain. A something for which Bitcoin wasn’t built to support or used.
To know the extend of damage this can cause I refer to the #Ethereum network and the tons of scams and rugpulls which occur on a regular basis. Not to mention the unresolved matter of high gas fees due to high congestion on the $ETH blockchain as a result.

Basically is it a push to make the Bitcoin network into something which it wasn’t made for and only for the gain of a few capitalists.

The whole BIP300-hype is synonymous to the following: Birthrates in your neighbourhood are plummeting so a few people propose that all men in the neighbourhood can have sex with your wife so that she might have multiple children. You carry all of the costs as it is for the greater good. If you disagree are you being called a “conservative” and guilty of toxic masculinity.
