This was a question I received this week.
– What is the market efficiency of bitcoin?
Bitcoin is still in the stages of initial growth.
A lesson which is surprising to many when considering its market capitalization when compared to other Cryptocurrencies (market capitalization is more than 60%… which implies that of ALL dealings and trades with Cryptocurrency, more then 60% is being made with bitcoin).
Efficiency will keep on increasing as more and more people and companies start adapting and implementing Blockchain and Bitcoin.
Markets may shift to an increasing amount of altcoins which will change the ratio on a global scale… but the amount of transactions will keep on increasing.
When it concerns market efficiency, Bitcoin will still rule prime due to its status as a coin of high value and greatest market capitalization.
